STOP MARCO TEMPORAL! Solidarity Demo for Brazilian Indigenous<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calling everyone looking to mitigate the consequences of Climate Emergency!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s rally together for the crucial right of Indigenous communities of Brazil to their ancestral lands threatened by a bill that favours the agribusiness giants (including European corporations such as Bayer and Syngenta), mining companies and other commercial interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the United Nations, Indigenous communities account for 22% of the world\u2019s population, but they act as guardians of 80% of the world\u2019s biodiversity and hold traditional knowledge of how to adapt, mitigate and reduce climate risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join in solidarity with Brazilian Indigenous communities to defend their ancestral lands and the future of humankind on Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solidarity Demonstration for Brazilian Indigenous Communities against the Time Limit Trick Bill ( in Portuguese, \u2018Marco Temporal\u2019)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date: Tuesday, 29th of August
Time: 5 \u2013 6,30 pm
Location: In front of the Brazilian Embassy at 14-16
Cockspur Street – London SW1Y 5BL<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why you should go:
The Brazilian Indigenous communities are facing a historical battle to defend their ancestral right to land against aggressive agribusiness and profit-driven commercial interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A political thesis bill known as Time Limit Frame (in Portuguese, \u2018Marco Temporal\u2019) will be voted by the Supreme Court in Brazil next coming Wednesday, the 30th of August. This bill is strongly backed by relevant commercial lobbies. It undermines Brazilian Indigenous communities\u2019 rights and paves the way for further encroachment to exploit and destroy their pristine territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We cannot let this happen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Mission:
Defend Indigenous Rights: Stand alongside the Indigenous peoples in their struggle to protect their land, culture, and way of life.
Fighting for Environmental Justice: Oppose destructive agribusiness practices that harm not only Indigenous communities but also the Planet.
Reject the \u2018Marco Temporal\u2019 Bill: Saying NO to legislation that threatens to strip Indigenous communities of their rightful ancestral lands and history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
